This much-awaited traditional race for future athletes is set to return in 2023, much to the excitement of young mountain bike enthusiasts.

Organized in partnership with the Club Cycliste du Mont-Sainte-Anne, this amateur competition was formerly known as Véli-Kidz and offers young cyclists between the ages of 2 and 12 the opportunity to experience the Mont-Sainte-Anne UCI MTB World Cup just like the professionals. The event serves as an introduction to the world of mountain biking while also promoting the development of youth sports.

The race is open to participants with scooters, small wheels, and bicycles, and typically draws around 350 young athletes each year. Accompanying adults gather at the foot of Mont-Sainte-Anne to cheer on the local up-and-comers, creating a lively atmosphere with almost 700 attendees in total. All future athletes receive a medal for the challenge they have completed, a Halloween pumpkin donated by Desjardins, and a healthy snack.

Tricycles are not allowed.
